Bloomington Indiana hosted many amazing Krampus Nights. My first time seeing the beasts in person made me realize that I wanted to be a part of it! After the original Bloomington Krampus group retired, I created my own costume. I am a very non-traditional Krampus, as my mask is crafted from EVA foam and not wood (though I certainly hope to be able to create a real wooden mask in the future!). I enjoy the sinister spirit of Krampus and see the folkloric beast as a way to get in touch with my German heritage. My Krampus has the nickname "Grollen", which means "to growl" in German. I live in Bloomington Indiana, so my main hunting grounds are there but you may also see me with the Indianapolis Troupe. I like to imagine that I bring some whimsical fun to the crowds for Krampus Nights!
